Simple Play Time Tips and Ideas For 5 Minutes Of Peace

Perhaps the idea of painting with a toddler sounds like some kind of nightmare - afterall, they are hardly known for their neat and tidy finish! But with a couple of simpe preparations, you can allow baby their freedom to express their inner artist without danger to your floors or their clothes (and you can pop your feet up for 5 minutes even!)

Grab an old double or kingsize sheet and spread it out on the kitchen floor. Place an arpon on them, or else strip them off completely if it is warm enough so that (waterbased) paint can easily be washed off their skin. Then let them go for it! Once finished, you can scoop up the sheet and place it back in the cupboard to dry, ready for next time!

It also works a treat for playdoh. Once they have finished playing, you can swoosh the sheet out the window to remove the 'crumbs' and tada...no more finding bright blue, sticky blobs stuck to your carpet!!
